About our Service

Monaro Family Support Service is a highly regarded community-based non-government organisation which has been providing support for families and developing community capacity, across the Monaro region since 1979. MFSS delivers support, programs and other early intervention work to ensure the wellbeing of children, youth and families across the Snowy Monaro region.

About the role

The role of Service Manager sets and leads the strategic vision of the Service to ensure families gain access to the diverse range of support options provided. The Manager is required to continue to build the direction and profile of the Service through the creative design and direction of programs, effective team and operational leadership, and through representing the Service across all stakeholder groups.

To be successful in the role, you will have a range of skills and experience including:

• Relevant qualifications and/or experience in not-for-profit management
• Experience in the leadership of multidisciplinary teams with demonstrated ability to develop a strong and supportive team culture
• Capacity to think creatively to act on the needs identified by staff and the community, in the timely and responsive design and direction of programs
• Demonstrated understanding of the issues of families who have complex needs
• Demonstrated understanding of therapeutic trauma-informed practice frameworks and approaches
• Demonstrated understanding of measuring program effectiveness using evidence and evaluation (outcomes based) models
• Sound knowledge and experience in strategic and operational planning, including budget and financial oversight processes
• Ability to prepare reports, funding submissions, and other documents which promote the Service

The successful candidate must possess a current NSW Drivers Licence and NSW Working with Children Check. To be eligible for this position you must have an appropriate visa to work in Australia.
