This new role will work collaboratively within management, staff and volunteers to develop and implement the most relevant and up to date strategies that will enhance the overall image of MNDSA. Increased brand awareness will allow for improved partnerships, fundraising success and a stronger identity within the MND community and general public.
The Partnerships and Fundraising Manager will play a major role in educating all relevant stakeholders about MNDSA’s ‘story’ and how best to communicate it and why MNDSA require the support of others.
The Partnerships and Fundraising Manager will also play a key role in harnessing the relationships with existing and new supporters. Supporters can be clients, fundraisers, donors, sponsors. volunteers, ambassadors, advocates, and anyone else who supports the work of MNDSA.
The Association’s major events and campaigns, as well as community fundraising events make up a major portion of the Association’s yearly income. The Partnerships and Fundraising Manager will play a lead role in working with all relevant parties including event organisers to ensure the supporter experience is of the best quality and funds raised are increased.
Develop a plan to maximise MNDSA’s community fundraising in 2022 and beyond
Implement and manage a Bequests Program
Develop strategic relationships via networking to build and develop major gifts and bequests
Be innovative and collaborative with a can-do approach and proven success in delivering ‘The Ask’ in order to secure transformational and multi-year gifts.
Take control of operational management of all major events
Deliver professional presentations at suitable events including impactful stories to spread the message about the work of MNDSA
Build strong relationships with MNDSA supporters and encourage fundraising and event participation through any avenue where funds will be raised for MNDSA
Work with all key stakeholders to ensure events and campaigns are organised effectively and efficiently to achieve the best possible outcomes
Offer a silver service to fundraising event organisers to maximise event quality, ensure donation methods are clear and simple, provide any appropriate marketing resources and make sure the process is enjoyable and rewarding
Ensure online event/campaign pages are created and managed with the user experience as the key focus
Seek out and create appropriate stories for appeals whilst working with stakeholders to ensure direct mail and digital appeals create heightened awareness and increase revenue
Drive social media strategies that will further enhance MNDSA’s image whilst improving all relevant social media metrics. These strategies will increase our audience with the aim to retain existing supporters and attract new supporters via all social media platforms
Develop and implement communications plans for major campaigns to maximise reach, awareness and fundraising outcomes
Oversee the Association’s website whilst working with key stakeholders to ensure content, functionality, usability, and search engine optimisation are all of good quality, relevant and up to date
Develop and implement integrated digital marketing campaigns via social media, web, email and SMS to attract new supporters, increase donations and continue raising awareness of MNDSA’s community and services
Direct supervision and development of Marketing, Communications and Fundraising Officer
Actively contribute to regular team meetings and participate in the growth and development of the team
Participate in regular supervision with the CEO
Participate in staff development opportunities.
Maintain professional development in the fields of communications, fundraising and event management in not-for profit organisations
Actively contribute to the development of a safe working environment according to established Occupational Health & Safety practices and procedures.
Provide reports as requested by the CEO
