Motor Neurone Disease Australia is the national voice representing all Australians who share the vision of a world without motor neurone disease (MND).

Do you have project management skills as well as experience in website content management? Do you want to make a difference to the lives of others?

Reporting to the CEO your primary responsibility will be to drive the delivery of the web based information aspect of the MND Connect Project. This three year project funded by an Information, Linkages and Capacity Building (ILC) National Information Program Grant will deliver a national information service to provide people with motor neurone disease (MND), their families, carers and health and disability providers access to immediate, accessible and consistent MND-specific information via a national information hotline and website.

MND Australia is seeking a project officer with experience in web based information management and development to drive the delivery of the project through:

  1. Working with a web developer to manage the redevelopment and redesign of existing website to meet the needs of the MND Connect Project deliverable related to the provision of online information
  2. Supporting the development of easily accessible online evidence based and best practice MND information for people living with MND, health professionals and local services in a variety of formats
  3. Effectively engaging with stakeholders to promote, evaluate and report as required by the ILC Grant guidelines



  • Tertiary qualifications in information/project management, digital communications, health or education related discipline
  • Demonstrable project management/coordination skills
  • Proven communications and writing experience
  • Excellent writing skills across a range of traditional and digital media
  • Website strategy and information content management
  • Attention to detail
  • Flexible and innovative approach
  • Ability to work alone and as part of a small team
  • Self-motivated, good problem solver and enjoy managing multiple tasks and goals
  • Ability to meet unexpected time demands

  • Full Microsoft suite
  • Web maintenance and development
  • Social media/digital management experience


  • Post graduate digital communications, health, information management qualifications
  • Understanding of MND or related conditions
  • Not for profit experience
  • Social media and digital communications

This is a part time (24 to 30 hours per week), contract role until June 2021, with a possibility of extension, dependent on project progress. This position is classified as SCHADS Level 5 with an annual salary of between $70,000 to $85,000 (based on 1 FTE) including superannuation depending on experience and qualifications.
