  • Salary: $60,000-$63,000 per annum pro rata + Superannuation 

About Us 

Dynamic small charity that has been creating positive outcomes for local young people in the inner west for the past 20 years. We are looking to grow our organisation, to increase our impact and make a positive difference to marginalised young peoples’ future. You would be working with a small team of dedicated professionals always looking to make a difference in the local community and enjoying each other company while doing it. Office is in beautiful Bellair Street Kensington, with working from home arrangements currently in place. 

About the role 

A great opportunity for a professional multi-tasker to support the team's organisational capacity, as well as directly assist the Chief Executive Officer.

You will be passionate about making an impact while overseeing: 

  • General project support and administration activities
    • Support the team to deliver excellent projects and programs that are on-time and with desired impact
  • Increasing the capacity and efficiency of the organisation, especially through CRM and database services
    • Ensure CRM data and processes are up to date
    • Seek new ways to create opportunities to build staff capability 
    • Support project teams capacity to meet deadlines
  • Assist the Chief Executive Officer with internal and external communications and coordination of activities 
    • Ensure communications are diplomatically and expediently communicated 
    • Ability to manage confidential information  
    • Confident in developing efficient systems and processes
  • Hands-on role in maintaining organisations office services  
    • Ensure all communications inbound and outbound, office systems and processes are working to their maximum potential  
  • Relationship management - Internal 
    • Effectively manage Internal relationships, systems and processes. 
    • Coordinate opportunities of assistance from volunteers, trainees and work placement students  
  • Relationship management - External 
    • Work closely with external partners and suppliers to deliver key projects
    • Support with annual events including the Annual General Meeting and School/Industry leader events

The role is part time, flexible and fixed term till the end of 2023. The position reports to the CEO and will co-ordinate volunteer young people to assist the organisations capacity. 

About you 

You’re extremely organised and reliable. 

You’re self-motivated, you relentlessly strive to achieve results and are unwilling to leave problems unsolved.

You're detail and process-oriented, but flexible enough to adapt your ideas for optimal results, and open to feedback and collaboration. 

You’re extremely confident with information technology and have the ability to apply that to databases including CRMs.

You’re experienced in working with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve great results.  

You have experience or willing to coordinate volunteer young people in a variety of projects to kickstart their career.

And finally, you’re excited about our vision of a better world and would love the challenge of playing an essential role in a fast-growing social enterprise. 

Selection criteria 

Essential:

  1. A minimum of five years of business support, administration, information technology or volunteer management experience or similar business support roles 
  2. Experience with project administration, including managing schedules and deadlines for multiple projects 
  3. Excellent attention to detail and ability to create efficient systems and processes
  4. High degree of confidence in using databases and information technology systems
  5. Ability to build rapport and cooperation with colleagues as well as maintain confidentiality   
  6. Excellent written and verbal communications skills 
  7. Demonstrated interest in working to increase the opportunities for local young people

Desirable: 

  1. Experience in managing volunteers 
  2. Experience working in a small team 
  3. Experience working or volunteering in and/or knowledge of the Not-for-Profit sector in Australia 
  4. Experience using Salesforce CRM
