About this Role

The Finance Manager plays a pivotal role in assisting management to make informed financial decisions. The role supports the CEO, Board of Directors and management team by providing financial guidance. This will involve analysing and presenting on financial strengths and weaknesses, identifying, and managing financial risks and exploring opportunities for increasing revenue and reducing costs. This role will be primarily based at Parramatta.

• Position Title: Finance Manager
• Employer: Western Sydney Community Legal Centre Limited
• Regular Location of Employment: Parramatta
• Status: Full time 35 hours per week until 30 June 2022 with possible extension
• Pay Level: Social, Community, Home Care & Disability Services Award (SCHADS) 2010
• Level 8 - Pay Point negotiable (+ 10% superannuation)

Selection criteria

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
• 5-8 years of experience in accounting and/or financial analysis
• Demonstrated ability to prepare & interpret financial reporting, ensure compliance and provide recommendations for improvement to relevant stakeholders including the CEO, management and Board of Directors.
• Ability to analyse and present financial strengths and weaknesses, identify and manage financial risks and explore opportunities for increasing revenue and reducing costs
• Demonstrated experience in managing budgets across organisational departments
• Demonstrated capacity to efficiently manage a small team
• Demonstrated capacity to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.
