A background in student residential care is essential; experience in an Indigenous environment is highly regarded.
Importantly, you will be available to lend a sympathetic ear to children with problems and be sensitive to their concerns so experience with, and an understanding of the unique needs of Indigenous children living away from home is mandatory.
