Who are we?

Miss V the Non Toxic Cleaner is a bespoke cleaning service encompassing sustainability and ethical employment with a focus on a high quality service that is unique in its field. The business was born out of a desire to not work or live with deadly toxic residues from cleaning products.

Growing in Melbourne’s north, the Miss V team operates from Fitzroy to Coburg and has been in service for approximately 12 years. The team manages residential, small offices and building maintenance cleans. At present, the core clientele is residential with growth anticipated in the commercial sector of the business over the next 12 months. Our cycling division is adding to our green credentials where bicycles are used as the main form of transport. The bicycle trailers are a key focus within the Miss V organisation.

Miss V is looking for a Operations Manager/Supervisor to support the growth of the business and manage our ethical cleaning teams!

Key Duties & Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

• Provide leadership and supervise staff whilst working in a hands-on role

• Oversee teams of cleaners, including workforce coordination and scheduling at sites

• Roster employees and manage job scheduling
• Troubleshooting operational issues and coordinate proactive, reactive and remedial works

• People management including coaching the team to deliver on the company objectives

• Investigate, manage and log any client complaints, and write and apply corrective action report
• Ensure budgets are managed in accordance with contract hours
• Train and mentor staff onsite

• Supporting the Director with business-wide communication project implementation, liaising with external and internal stakeholders

The successful candidate will have:

• 2+ years supervisory/management experience in retail, commercial or hospitality cleaning across large sites
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Confidence in riding a bicycle
• Proven experience in collaborating, training and leading a team
• Proven ability to manage client relationships with a focus on promoting the company brand in a positive manner
• Sound understanding of OHS in the workplace preferred
• Sound administrative skills
• Training for specific apps used by the business will be provided but previous experience in google suite & online rostering will be desirable

You’ll also need to have a driver’s licence, a provide first aid certification, and a national police certificate!

The successful candidate will be interpersonal with a client service focus, excellent personal presentation and effective time management skills.

This role is a full-time position with some weekends and public holidays.
