Your Opportunity

This permanent role has a flexible location and will be based in any Mission Australia State Offices including Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney or Adelaide working either full or part time.

Reporting to the General Manager of the Office of CEO, you will work with key stakeholders across the organisation acting as a strategic thought partner to drive execution of key initiatives.

You will support Senior Leadership in the annual business planning processes as well as being responsible for quarterly reporting against those plans, providing critical thinking to enhance the process.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Ensure business planning process is aligned with the annual review and budget process
  • Manage the annual strategy review and business planning process
  • Review the existing strategy and business plan reporting process and recommend best practice improvements
  • Develop and utilise new and existing models for critical thinking to support and educate various working groups
  • Provide accurate, timely updates on organisation progress against strategy and business plans, identifying areas of risk
  • Maintain active and constructive relationships with internal and external stakeholder to ensure development and execution of initiatives
  • Work with key stakeholders to monitor and report against strategic KPIs.

Requirements for Success

  • Relevant Tertiary Qualifications
  • Experience in a similar role ideally from a management consulting or Public Sector background
  • Experience in strategy, planning and project leadership
  • High level writing skills to prepare complex board papers and reports
  • Excellent ability to negotiate, engage and facilitate with stakeholders across the organisation
  • Understanding of impact measurement tools, techniques and reporting
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to understand and interpret qualitative and quantitative data
  • The ability to provide a flexible approach as priorities will change rapidly requiring an agile work approach
  • Strong computer literacy skills in Power BI, Excel, Share Point, Teams, and Powerpoint.
