Your Opportunity

Youth on Track is an early intervention scheme for 10-17 year olds that identifies and responds to young people at risk of long-term involvement in the criminal justice system.

The Program Manager's role is responsible for leading, managing and developing a team to deliver high quality and contractually compliant services across the Mid North Coast. The Program Manager is accountable for the performance of the program and reporting on service outcomes.

Duties

  • Lead the local team in the delivery of program requirements to young people.
  • Responsible for the co-ordination and delivery of the service and operate in a compliant manner, within the funding guidelines.
  • Ensure the on-going development and improvement of the service through involvement in strategy and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Demonstrate leadership of the team and responsibility for the effective people management and development of direct reports.
  • Financial management including compliance with Program budgets and authorisation of Program expenditure.
  • Ability to travel between locations.
  • Work Health & Safety (WHS).

Qualifications & experience

  • Experience in leading and managing a service delivery team.
  • Tertiary Qualification and/or relevant experience in the human services industry.
  • Experience working within Young People and Youth Justice funded programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver service outcomes on time and in compliance with funding requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Experience in budget and financial management. 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated interest in community and social outcomes.
  • Current Drivers Licence.
  • A personal alignment with the values of Mission Australia.

Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
