Your Opportunity

This key leadership role will have responsibility for managing Human Resources nationally, ensuring a responsive service is provided to the business with high level expert advice and assisting our teams in driving best practice and performance.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Providing strong leadership and management across a multidisciplinary team including HR Business Partners, Transactional Services and HR Helpline.
  • Leading the team to providing specialist advice to the business on a broad range of workplace and industrial matters
  • Leading continuous improvement and execution of the strategic plan
  • Work with a variety of stakeholders nationwide in a complex matrix organisation to identify current and emerging issues.
  • Support, train and develop the Human Resources team in understanding their responsibility to ensure compliance to relevant legislation and processes.
  • Management of the budget and financial changes for these teams.

Requirements for Success

  • Relevant Tertiary qualifications ideally HR or IR
  • Strong leadership experience and the ability to lead a team during a period of change and complexity.
  • Previous experience in the interpretation of Australia Employment Law and legislation.
  • Demonstrated experience to lead a complex nationally dispersed team
  • Have a strong demonstrated experience in collaborating and partnering within the business in a unionised environment.
  • Strong report writing and data analysis skills
  • Strong people leadership experience
  • Excellent communicator and senior influencer

Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
