Your Opportunity

This key leadership role across a multidisciplinary team will be responsible for providing high level expert advice and assist our teams in driving best practice and performance across the business.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Providing strong leadership and management across a multidisciplinary team including Payroll, and IR and as advisor to HRBPs.
  • Providing specialist advice to the business on a broad range of workplace and industrial matters including compliance, agreement interpretation, and performance management.
  • Leading continuous improvement regarding processes and procedures to ensure compliance in time and attendance systems and payroll.
  • Leading EBA negotiations and liaising with union’s representatives throughout industrial disputes. 
  • Work with a variety of stakeholders nationwide in a complex matrix organisation to identify current and emerging issues.
  • Support, train and develop managers in understanding their responsibility to ensure compliance to relevant legislation and processes.
  • Management of the budget for these teams.

Requirements for Success

  • Tertiary qualifications in IR, Employment Law or related discipline are essential.
  • Strong leadership experience and the ability to lead a team during a period of change and complexity.
  • Excellent knowledge of Australia Employment Law and legislation and the ability to mitigate risk for the business
  • Prior demonstrated experience in successfully negotiating and delivering an EBA.
  • Prior experience representing organisations in legal settings such as Fair Work Commission and the Tribunal.
  • Have a strong demonstrated experience in collaborating and partnering within the business in a unionised environment.
  • Strong report writing and data analysis skills.
  • Strong people leadership experience.
  • Excellent communicator and senior influencer.
  • Experience in payroll systems Chris 21 & Kronos are highly desirable.

Before starting work with MA, you will need to undertake a national police history check and referee checks.
