We are a registered NDIS not-for-profit day service provider for people with intellectual disabilities.
We are seeking an experienced Disability practitioner to guide and mentor our staff to ensure that clients receive professional support in an empathetic manner.
The role is a permanent full-time position based in Marsfield NSW.

Your Role:
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Managing and supporting a small team of dedicated Disability Support workers who deliver programs for clients in an active person-centred manner
- Establishing rapport with stakeholders including Minimbah staff, Allied Health Specialists and client representatives
- Contributing to the development of care plans and ensuring that finance, attendance and program related documents are completed accurately and within timeframes
- Providing direct support to clients, such as covering shifts for absent staff
Your Skills and Experience
For this role you should have:
- A good sense of humour, experience in the disability sector, empathy and a genuine commitment to supporting people with intellectual disabilities and challenging behaviours
- Well-developed communication and inter-personal skills including staff supervision skills
- Knowledge of NDIS standards including processes around restrictive practices
- An NDIS Worker Check and, if appropriate, a visa that entitles you to work in NSW
- Certificate level qualification (or higher) in Disability will be highly regarded
