About the role

Based in Bendigo Victoria, The Way Back is a non-clinical service that provides psychosocial support to people experiencing a suicidal crisis or have attempted suicide.

Working with consumers, carers and community based services, this role will see you enhancing connections with support networks. Our goals are to support at risk individuals to stay safe, build their capacity for self-managing distress and improve mental wellbeing.

Duties

  • Develop support plans with consumers
  • Collaborate on crisis and intervention strategies
  • Create or enhance meaningful support networks

What you’ll bring

  • Experience working with individuals with complex mental health issues or needs
  • Demonstrated ability to build connections with families, carers and external networks
  • Proficiency in case notes, documentation and using a variety of electronic systems
  • Tertiary qualification (Cert IV and above) in mental health, psychology, social work, Occupational Therapy or other relevant field as designated by Mind
  • Driver’s licence and Working with Children check
