Mind’s Equality Centre’s provides support individuals, couples and families from the LGBTIQA+ community to live well and improve mental health outcomes. Services are tailored and utilise a range of psychological interventions including brief therapies, motivational techniques and specialist skills. The After Care program delivers peer-based psychological support and group work to LGBTIQA+ people with mental ill health, this peer-driven approach integrates evidence-based practice with community insights to provide a holistic, innovative model of care.
We are seeking a passionate, dynamic After Care Suicide Prevention - Peer Practitioner Group Facilitator for a permanent, part time (15 hours per week) opportunity at the Equality Centre in Fitzroy North. You will utilise lived experience to facilitate and deliver suicide groups programs and provide high quality, safe recovery-orientated services consistent with Mind’s My Better Life model.
