About the role

As a part of Organisational Performance, the Finance Business Unit is responsible for the key functions of financial operations, finance systems, management reporting, external reporting and asset management. The aim is to achieve consistent service delivery and comply with internal and external policy, standards and practice.

We are seeking an experienced Finance Business Partner to take on a newly created permanent, full time opportunity at our Central Office in Heidelberg. Working autonomously with a high functioning team, you will support Business Managers and Executives with financial information, tools, analysis and insights as well as challenge thinking and rationale to enable the business to make informed decisions and drive strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support leadership to manage operations and develop efficient business models.
  • Provide advice on budget management, variance analysis, resolve finance related issues, forecast results and explain financial impacts.
  • Work with leadership to ensure compliance and internal control as well as provide coaching on reports.
  • Collaborate with the Accounting team to close off month-end reporting.
  • Lead the annual Budget process, prepare quarterly forecasts including cash flow analysis and assist with Budget reporting to the FAaR committee and Board.

What you’ll bring

  • Tertiary degree qualifications in Accounting or Commerce with a Major in Accounting and/or equivalent experience with CPA, CA or CIMA membership.
  • Proven experience in healthcare, mental health, social housing or similar with an understanding of compliance obligations within this sector.
  • Demonstrated capability in a similar business partnering role, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to perform financial and operational analysis.
  • Experience using Technology One, Power BI or dashboard reporting tools and advanced knowledge of Excel.
