About the role

Based in Bendigo Victoria, The Way Back is a non-clinical service that provides psychosocial support to people experiencing a suicidal crisis or have attempted suicide. Our goals are to support at risk individuals to stay safe, build their capacity for self-managing distress and improve mental wellbeing.

Leading a team of support coordinators and an administrator, this role will see you enable, facilitate and coordinate care planning for eligible consumers.

Duties

  • Lead, coach and mentor your team to deliver a high quality service enhancing consumer networks and pathways
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with our clinical partners, external stakeholders and relevant internal teams
  • Coordinate clinical services for consumers with severe mental illness
  • Implement relevant practices and procedures

What you’ll bring:

  • Registered General Nurse with the AHPRA
  • Recognised postgraduate qualifications in mental health such as Mental Health Nursing with ACMHN and/or experience in the provision of mental health care as a mental health nurse
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate patient care
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary environment in a health setting
  • Ability to build rapport with internal and external stakeholders
  • Driver’s licence and Working with Children check
