About the role

A full time permanent opportunity has become available within our Early Intervention Psychosocial Support Response Service (EIPSRS) working in collaboration with our clinical partner Latrobe Health. This role will work across the West Gippsland catchment area and potential other Gippsland regions as required.

EIPSRS is an tailored to meet individual needs. This service is delivered through outreach and will outreach service that provides a person centred approach to recovery which is have responsibility for working with clients in a designated geographic area. The EIPSRS model is delivered through a mobile service focusing on supporting people to achieve better life goals.

Reporting directly to the Service Manager, this role covers a Monday – Friday roster and will see you out and about in the community engaging directly with clients in a Mind provided car supported by technology enabling successful mobile working.

Duties

  • Provide direct support to individual clients, delivering high quality service and facilitating positive educational and social experiences
  • Work collaboratively with a broad range of services as they relate to clients’ needs to ensure a co-ordinated and integrated response to the client’s recovery goals
  • Deliver group sessions and learning activities
  • Assist clients in building networks with their families and community services
  • Work autonomously and competently across a variety of digital platforms

What you’ll bring

  • Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships with clients, colleagues, clinical providers and key stakeholders
  • Relevant experience in facilitating group activities for clients experiencing mental ill health
  • Previous experience working with people with complex mental health issues and their families and carers
  • Strong understanding of available community services, networks and supports
  • Tertiary qualifications (minimum Certificate IV) in Mental Health, Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or other health-related field as designated by Mind
