Mind Australia is one of the country’s leading community-managed specialist mental health service providers with a range of residential, mobile outreach, centre based and online services. We have been supporting people living with the day-to-day impacts of mental illness, as well as their families, friends and carers for over 40 years.
We provide practical and motivational support that helps people to develop the skills they need to move on, thrive and improve the quality of their lives. It’s an approach to mental health and wellbeing that looks at the whole person in the context of their daily life. Mind is committed to diversity and social inclusion.
The Community Care Units (CCU) program provides intensive treatment and recovery support in a residential setting for up to two years to help people stabilise their mental health and gain necessary skills to move back into the community. Providing one-to-one peer support and group peer-led activities the service focuses on the development of client’s social and daily living skills and building confidence to live independently.
We have a full time, fixed term 6 month Maternity Leave opportunity for a motivated Community Mental Health Practitioner in our 24 hour, 7 day a week CCU in Toowoomba. You will deliver high quality recovery oriented, direct psycho-social support and case work to clients, their families and carers using Mind’s Model of Recovery.
