Mind Australia is one of the country’s leading community-managed specialist mental health service providers with a range of residential, mobile outreach, centre based and online services. We have been supporting people living with the day-to-day impacts of mental illness, as well as their families, friends and carers for over 40 years.
We provide practical and motivational support that helps people to develop the skills they need to move on, thrive and improve the quality of their lives. It’s an approach to mental health and wellbeing that looks at the whole person in the context of their daily life. Mind is committed to diversity and social inclusion.
In partnership with Monash and Peninsula Health, Mind operates the Prevention and Recovery Care service (PARC) a residential program provided in a home-like environment. The service offers a combination of recovery focused community and clinical mental health services to clients aged between 16 - 65 years (Adult PARC 16 – 65 years and Youth PARC 16 – 25 years). PARC is designed as a ‘step up, step down’ program for people with mental illness who require individualised treatment and support entering either directly from the community or as a transition from acute inpatient care.
We are seeking several dynamic committed casual or short duration, fixed term full or part time Community Mental Health Practitioners to work within our PARC teams across a 24/7 rotating roster with availability for morning, afternoon, evening, active night and sleep over shifts. With opportunities across multiple locations, Dandenong, Narre Warren and Frankston, you will provide short term intensive treatment and support to our clients, families and carers in line with Mind’s Model of Recovery Oriented Practice.
