About the role

As a Peer Practitioner you will be utilising your lived experience of mental ill health and recovery to provide empathetic and positive support to our clients. Mind uses a Recovery Orientated approach to help clients live a meaningful life through. You will be the champion of co-design and co-production in all aspects of the service and works as part of a multidisciplinary team, with lived experience of mental ill health and recovery being the unique specialist lens that you bring.

Skills & experience

  • Significant experience in mental ill health and recovery
  • Able and willing to use your experience to inform your work and the work of the team
  • Experience and expertise in working directly with people with mental health issues, complex needs, and with their families and carers
  • Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
  • Tertiary qualifications (minimum certificate IV) in Mental Health, Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy or other health related field
