About the role

A part-time permanent opportunity has become available within our Early Intervention Psychosocial Support Response Service (EIPSRS) working in collaboration with our clinical partner. This role is based from home, at times working out of the local Mind office and will require some travel to support clients based mostly in the Wangaratta area.

EIPSRS is an outreach service that provides a person centred approach to recovery which is tailored to meet individual needs. This service is delivered through outreach and will have responsibility for working with clients in the allocated region. The EIPSRS model is delivered through a mobile service focusing on supporting people to achieve better life goals.

Reporting directly to the Service Manager, this role covers a Monday – Friday roster and will see you out and about in the community engaging directly with clients in a Mind provided car supported by technology enabling successful mobile working.

The successful applicant will have a strong background in Mental Health Outreach and a responsible approach to the autonomous nature of the role.

Duties

  • Provide direct support to individual clients, delivering high quality service and facilitating positive educational and social experiences
  • Work collaboratively with a broad range of services as they relate to clients’ needs to ensure a co-ordinated and integrated response to the client’s recovery goals
  • Deliver group sessions and learning activities
  • Assist clients in building networks with their families and community services
  • Work autonomously and competently across a variety of digital platforms

What you’ll bring

  • 2+ years experience delivering successful Mental Health Outreach support, to people with complex mental health issues and their families and carers
  • Demonstrated ability to implement a recovery oriented framework
  • Skilled in building solid connections with clients, colleagues and stakeholders
  • Demonstrated understanding of available community services, supports and the NDIS
  • Tertiary qualifications (minimum Certificate IV) in Mental Health, Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or other health-related field as designated by Mind
