About the role

Mind is seeking Casual Community Mental Health Practitioners to join our Frankston Youth Prevention and Recovery Care (YPARC) team. YPARC is a modern and purpose built 10-bed residential facility for young people experiencing mental illness.

Working closely with clinical and community partners, this recovery and strengths based service supports the provision of short term intensive treatment and care for youth clients. Reporting to the Service Manager, you will work with the team to improve mental illness through a combination of recovery focused community and clinical mental health services.

Duties

  • Deliver high quality, recovery oriented, direct support to individual customers
  • Engage with customers to fully understand their need for assistance
  • Assist with delivery of group work programs
  • Assist the customer with accessing a range of local service providers
  • Contribute to the day-to-day operations of the residential service

What are we looking for?

  • Tertiary qualifications (minimum Cert IV in Mental Health, Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy or other health related field as designated by Mind
  • Previous experience working in a similar role and recovery orientated frameworks
  • The ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities flexibly, proactively and with ease
  • Flexible availability
