About the role

As a Community Mental Health Practitioner you will be responsible for providing recovery focused mental health services to people with higher levels of vulnerability and complexity who may benefit from the wide range of services offered by Mind. You will provide psychosocial support to bushfire affected communities in North East Victoria. This role would ideally suit someone based in Wangaratta or Wodonga.

Each day will be different

  • Facilitate groups focused on building capacity around recovery
  • Support client identified goals utilising Mind's My Better Life
  • Utilise Trauma informed practice to guide all aspects of engagement
  • Participate in care team meetings

What you’ll bring

  • Proven experience using Trauma Informed Practice Principles
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to work effectively with all stakeholders
  • Experience in supporting individuals with psychosocial needs
  • Solutions focused attitude
  • Tertiary qualifications (minimum certificate IV) in Mental Health, Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy or other health related field
