About the role

As part of the Specialist Allied Health Team, the Allied Health Clinician –Psychologist will provide quality allied health discipline specific and transdisciplinary clinical services to customers with mental health related disability, dual disability and/or complex care needs. The Allied Health Clinician - Psychologist will provide clinical assessment & interventions including behaviour support and capacity building for customers with complex needs. This role requires travel to meet client needs.

Duties

  • Deliver high level clinical service to customers and their family/carers including: assessment, intervention, treatment planning and review
  • Deliver clinical leadership in advocacy to meet the needs of customers with complex needs and their family/carers with relevant agencies
  • Apply independent professional judgement, based on valid and reliable evidence to support individuals with complex support needs
  • Contribute to the development of clinical practice procedures and protocols, for both the discipline and the multi-disciplinary team
  • Ensure that services operate within the context of the Mind Quality Framework and continuous quality improvement

What you’ll bring

  • Tertiary qualifications in Psychology
  • Registered (General or Clinical) Allied Health Practitioner
  • Strong knowledge and skills in a practice area of mental health and disability
  • High degree of autonomy, self-motivation and professional judgment
  • Proven experience in partnering with the internal and external stakeholders to ensure Allied Health is aligned with NDIS rules and legislation
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Advanced computer skills and information technology literacy
