Mind’s Equality Centre’s provides support individuals, couples and families from the LGBTIQA+ community to live well and improve mental health outcomes. Services are tailored and utilise a range of psychological interventions including brief therapies, motivational techniques and specialist skills. The After Care program delivers peer-based psychological support and group work to LGBTIQA+ people with mental ill health, this peer-driven approach integrates evidence-based practice with community insights to provide a holistic, innovative model of care.
We have a permanent, full time opportunity for an Allied Health Clinician - LGBTIQA+ Psychologist who is passionate about working with LGBTQIA+ community to provide holistic, person-centred care at the Equality Centre in Fitzroy North. You will deliver quality therapeutic and mental health intervention support to clients who experience thoughts of suicide and have complex care needs. The Psychologist will provide expert clinical assessments and interventions including a strengths-based approach and assertive follow-up.
