About the role

The Community Care Units (CCU) program provides intensive treatment and recovery support in a residential setting (up to two years) to help people stabilise their mental health and gain the skills necessary to move back into the community. Clients are provided care by a 24/7 clinical team and Mind staff who focus on supporting development of social and daily living skills as well as building confidence to live independently.

We are seeking a high performing, self-motivated Administration Support Officer for a 12 month fixed term, part time (19 hours per week) opportunity to work within a close knit team in the Toowoomba area. Acting as the first point of contact, you will provide reception and administrative support as well as offer a high level of care to clients and stakeholders accessing the service.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide the Service Manager and team administrative support including managing office systems, rostering, accounts, billing and database maintenance.
  • Perform reception duties, answer phones, book and confirm appointments, and prepare client files.
  • Manage enquires, provide information and exceptional customer service to clients and stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

What you’ll bring

  • Tertiary qualifications (minimum Certificate IV) in Business Administration or other related field and/or equivalent administrative experience in Social Services, Community Services or Health.
  • Able to provide a record of Vaccination Preventable Diseases or able to obtain vaccinations against Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Chicken Pox, Whooping Cough, Hepatitis B or other diseases as required by our Partnership with QLD Health.
  • Strong Microsoft Office and Excel skills and some experience using Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Exceptional organisational skills, ability to work autonomously and capable of demonstrating initiative.
