This is a new role will work closely with our CEO to strategically identify, approach and develop partnership opportunities with social purpose organisations, funders and government in order to secure funding support to grow the impact of Milk Crate Theatre programs. This position will also support the implementation of our new branding, manage our website, socials and ongoing marketing & communications as well as delivering our fundraising activity and donor database.

Milk Crate Theatre provides creative opportunities for people whose voices are under-represented in society to build confidence, skills and connections that help them make positive changes in their lives; and by sharing these stories with audiences to build empathy and break down barriers to positively influence the world around them.

Our participants are people whose voices are under-represented in society. They are generally living with, have experienced or are at risk of homelessness; living with mental health or disability support needs; have experienced domestic violence or come from culturally and linguistically diverse communities.

We work with social purpose, government, corporate and funding partners who can increase our participant and audience reach and impact.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:​

  • Grow our social impact by increasing our participant volumes and number of programs offered in conjunction with the Artistic Director and Head of Social Impact.
  • Responsible for strategically identifying, approaching and developing partnership opportunities as well as managing the business development database and tracking of relationships.
  • Work with CEO to deliver the rebranding project to reposition MCT branding in line with our new strategic plan.
  • Create and implement a marketing and communications plan to raise the profile of MCT, share our social impact and build participant numbers in our programs.
  • Work with Artistic Director to grow our audience reach and their quality by focusing on audiences who are in positions to influence public policy or design which impacts our community.
  • Manage the design and production of MCT website, social media platforms and e-newsletter.
  • Support CEO in the development and implementation of the annual fundraising plan for Milk Crate Theatre.

DETAILS:​

  • This position is currently 3-days per week (approx. 22.8 hrs) with flexible working arrangements. There is an opportunity to potentially grow the position in the future, funding dependant.
  • Salary is negotiable with experience.
  • A six-month probation period applies
  • The position is based at Alexandria, NSW 2015.
  • The successful candidate will undertake police check and Working with Children Check.
