We are seeking a motivated person who has a genuine approach and proven ability to relate positively to people. The role involves assisting people who experience mental health challenges to implement and coordinate their NDIS plans, help them achieve their goals and build the way to a better life.

The position is a full-time Level 4 SCHADS Award and based out of our Kingsley office.

How your role will help us get there

  • You will help participants coordinate their NDIS supports and help them navigate the NDIS environment.
  • You will work with participants to develop and regularly review progress of their plans and support strategies.
  • You will ensure participants’ input into the priorities for their support and allow them to fully and positively contribute.
  • You will ensure participants are kept safe by undertaking risk assessment and developing safeguard strategies.
  • You will help support individuals in the context of their families and other support networks.
  • You will build positive working relationships with clinical and other mental health services and other government and community agencies.

the person We are looking for

  • You are a people person and are able to engage and build relationships with a variety of people
  • You have the ability to build rapport in short period of time
  • You understand the NDIS
  • You have sound self-management skills to prioritise, account for and manage time effectively, recognise and maintain professional boundaries, participate in supervision and reflect and learn from experience
  • You welcome challenges and see them as an opportunity to be creative
