Wellways has a number of programs providing services to the Goulburn Valley catchment. We employ program workers to work across all of these programs.

This position provides support for the implementation and ongoing development of best practice Residential rehabilitation through the Youth Residential Rehabilitation program. The program aims to provide a range of biopsychosocial rehabilitation support strategies that promote and support social inclusion and independence within the community. The residential programs provide a practical environment that facilitates the maintenance of, and/ or the development of skills in the domains of daily living, learning, working, social and health. These programs are delivered in partnership with Goulburn Valley Area Mental Health Service.

Under the support and direction of the Manager, the role forms part of the Goulburn Valley Hume team and works with the team and other key stakeholders in the ongoing development and effective implementation of regional and program plans.

What do you need?

  • Relevant qualifications or commensurate experience working in a support role for people with a mental health challenge
  • Demonstrated experience and/or transferable skills & knowledge in working with people with serious mental health challenges
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate
  • Satisfactory National Police Records Check, Working with Children's Check and Disability Worker Exclusion Scheme (DWES) Checks prior to commencement are mandatory
