About the Role

Under the general direction of the Manager – Service Delivery, the Compliance Officer will provide specialised management and compliance advice to the Leadership Team, by establishing and maintaining processes and procedures that ensures Skylight meets its regulatory, legal and operational NDIS quality, legislative, compliance and risk obligations. The NDIS Compliance Officer is responsible for providing high quality support to all Skylight workers across a range of Skylight sites, services and locations.

About You

The ideal person for this role will have a strong eye for detail, excellent communication skills, a passion for driving compliance and ability to manage their own priorities independently.

  • An understanding of the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Framework and the National Disability Insurance Scheme Act 2013 is a must
  • Relevant tertiary qualification together with at least 3 years' workplace experience
  • Proven experience in quality systems development and internal and external audits
  • Ability to interpret legislation, guidelines, regulations and compliance requirements
  • Working both independently and as part of a team, able to manage own workload
  • Highly developed ability to be flexible and adaptive
  • Knowledge of project management practices would be highly desirable
  • To have or need to obtain DHS Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Check
