Job Description

A day in the life of a Paediatric Speech Pathologist at Kids Connect Therapy may look like this, but really every day will be slightly different.

  • You will be involved in the assessment and treatment of children with communication problems and help develop solutions that represent best practice in the community.
  • Support clients and provide appropriate recommendations that provide the building blocks for communication and language, including engagement, relating to others, and receptive language development.
  • Participate and work with children on a 1:1 basis and within small groups with other team members.
  • Be involved in an ongoing commitment to professional development and enhance professional abilities by participating in Speech Pathology Australia's Professional Self-Regulation (PSR) program.
  • Use practice frameworks that ensure the involvement at each decision-making point for clients, families and significant others as applicable.

The Successful Applicant

  • A relevant Tertiary Bachelor/Masters Qualification and eligibility for practicing membership of Speech Pathology Australia.
  • Demonstrated experience to work effectively in a team and ability to be a positive role model who is professional, supportive, and inclusive.
  • Valid Working with Children Check and current Driver's License.
  • Committed to providing high-quality services to all people from diverse language and cultural backgrounds.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both oral and written.
