Migrant Information Centre (Eastern Melbourne) (MIC) is seeking Expressions of Interest for people interested to serve on our Board of Directors. The MIC Board is looking to add new skills to assist it in enhancing its funding base to ensure it can continue to deliver a range of the highly valued services. The position is voluntary.

MIC was established in 1999 and is a not-for-profit organisation providing services to support people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds living in the Eastern Region of Melbourne. Our services include settlement casework for people from newly arrived refugee backgrounds and family stream migrants with low English proficiency, community development programs for refugee community groups, support for refugee and migrant community associations, assistance for people to access aged and disability services and receive support from volunteers and family violence support and counselling.

Ideally, the new Director will bring to the board skills in working with philanthropic organisations and be familiar with the not for profit environment. They would be able to commit to attend monthly meetings of the Board, currently conducted remotely, and be willing to assist to sub-committee work developing new funding plans.
