My Foundations Youth Housing Ltd is a Registered Community Housing provider, operating across NSW, with this autonomous and varied role to be based in Orange.

We are proud to partner with Veritas House to deliver the Premier's Youth Initiative, a leasehold program designed to support young people leaving care as they transition to full independence.

We seek a passionate, skilled and experienced youth, social housing or real estate professional, particularly those with experience of working with homeless and other young people, to join our housing management team.

We need Youth Housing Managers with exceptional communication and administration skills, who thrive on building and maintaining genuine partnerships and who understand the challenges faced by young people who have experienced homelessness or housing instability.

The primary focus of your role will be to work in partnership with young people and their Transitional Support workers to seek and secure leasehold properties in their area of choice wherever possible, and to deliver tenancy management services that meet and exceed their expectations.

Your ability to secure the confidence of real estate agents and private Landlords will be key to your success and requires you to present and communicate both warmly and professionally.

As a young but fast growing organisation, we seek flexible, positive and energetic people with strong initiative, who will enjoy the challenge of building our capacity and contributing to the development of our workplace and organisational culture.

You will be the face of our organisation to young people and the services that support them, making this an incredibly important role within our organisation.

The successful candidates will have above average administration and relationship building skills, with strong tenancy management experience. You will also enjoy the challenge of working independently as well as in a cross-organisational team.

Recent experience in youth or community housing will be favourably considered, as would experience using Greentree, our tenancy and asset management platform.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience working with young people in a housing environment
  • Demonstrated professional administration and database management skills (Greentree experience a distinct advantage)
  • Tenancy management experience in youth housing, social housing or private real estate
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or Diploma in Social Housing will be considered favourably

Key Selection Criteria:

a) Technical Knowledge

  • Demonstrates strong professional administration and time management skills
  • Understanding of the Residential Tenancies Act 2010
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of the needs and challenges of young people in social housing and those that have experienced or are at risk of homelessness

b) Communication

  • Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with all stakeholders

c) Customer Service

  • Takes pride in the delivery of excellent customer service
  • Builds confidence in the organisations service to young people and the broader community

d) Problem Solving

  • Demonstrates analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Sees emerging problems for the organisation and takes proactive steps to mitigate and resolve them
