The opportunity
Method Recruitment is seeking multiple experienced locum Family Violence Practitioners to join a person using violence program with one of our Not-for-Profit partners at The Orange Door in Werribee, the engagement will initially be for 2-3 months with the potential to extend or transition to a permanent position. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality responsive intake and assessment, casework to people who use violence and their affected family members.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct MARAMs to a high level for people who use violence, affected family members, and children.
- Engage with clients for the purpose of completing child wellbeing assessments, MARAMs, risk assessments, and safety plans.
- Assist with the prevention of family violence through the provision of information, education, and referrals.
- Gather information and maintain detailed case notes and client records in accordance with Family Violence Information Sharing Scheme and Children Information Sharing Scheme.
- Work collaboratively with other community service providers to coordinate a holistic response to family violence.
What we're looking for
- Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology or related field (or equivalent in line with REC209).
- There is a strong preference for experience working at The Orange Door previously, as a minimum 2 years' experience working in the family violence or community services sector is essential.
- Demonstrated experience undertaking comprehensive risk and needs assessments and risk management responses (safety planning).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and risk assessment skills.
- Ability to start a new locum opportunity before the end of January.
