Your new role

You will be working as part of an established multidisciplinary team to provide direct and comprehensive high quality and evidence based podiatry services to clients who are aged 65 and over (over 50 for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People). This role is funded by the Commonwealth Home Support Program Health Program (CHSP). The model of care operates in accordance with the principles of the CHSP guidelines as a Wellness approach working with clients aiming to maximise functional independence and their ability to participate and remain living fully in the community.

You will:

  • Provide high quality and evidence based podiatry assessment and intervention for clients aged 65 and over.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date clinical records to a high standard
  • Record activity data daily to ensure accurate and current activity date

In order to be considered for this position you must have the right to work in Australia.

What you’ll need to succeed

To be successful with Merri you will go above and beyond to achieve great results for our clients, the organisation and yourself. We’re looking for individuals with:

  • Degree qualified in Podiatry with current AHPRA registration
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working as a Podiatrist
  • Extensive knowledge, and experience, of managing a broad range of acute and chronic podiatry conditions
  • Experience in the application of the principles of Chronic Disease Management; Person Centred Care; Goal Directed Care Planning and Self-management.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a wider multidisciplinary team and health professionals
