Your new role

As an Aged Services Engagement Officer your responsibilities will include:

  • Build awareness of Merri Carer Services and Carer Gateway across the aged care sector
  • Manage relationship with members of the Northern Respite Service (NRS) Commonwealth Home Support Program funded consortia
  • Work in partnership with internal and external stakeholders to design programs and activities that address identified needs of older carers and carers of older people

What you’ll need to succeed

To be successful with Merri you will go above and beyond to achieve great results for our clients, the organisation and yourself. We’re looking for individuals with:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Community Development, Health Promotion, Social Work, Welfare or appropriate equivalent discipline or experience
  • Knowledge of the aged and community care sector and service system
  • Experience in building and maintaining strategic relationships and partnerships with a broad range of stakeholders
  • Capacity to work with communities and individuals to engage them in existing service system supports
