ABOUT THE ROLE:

Great opportunity for a passionate and motivated Occupational Therapist seeking a senior role to join the team at Saltwater Clinic in the heart of Footscray. You will be part of a recovery focused multi-disciplinary team, working with people who experience mental illness and mental health problems, who live within the Maribyrnong/ Hobson’s Bay Area. We work within a recovery based framework providing case management and other evidence based interventions within a supportive team.

  • Based in Saltwater Clinic in Footscray
  • Full time, permanent position including ADO (part time may be considered)
  • Provide high quality, evidence based treatment to consumers within a recovery orientated framework
  • Provide discipline specific supervision and contribute to service development activities within the team
  • This role is the OT professional lead within the team

ABOUT YOU:

  • Registered with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist
  • Extensive post qualification experience, preferably in clinical mental health settings
  • A passion for Occupational Therapy and an ability to make a strong contribution to the skill mix in the multi-disciplinary team
  • Well developed leadership skills and a flexible team player

ABOUT US:

Mercy Mental Health (South West Area Mental Health Service) is a public mental health service supporting people in south west metropolitan Melbourne with severe and complex mental illnesses by providing acute and community-based care. Services are available to adults through acute inpatient programs, residential rehabilitation programs and crisis and community recovery-focused treatment programs. We also deliver inpatient and community specialist perinatal mental health services to women and infants in western Victoria.
