Mercy Community are currently looking for an experienced Finance Transactional Team Lead to join our Finance team based in Nudgee. The Finance Transactional Team Lead plays a central role in supporting the accounts payable, accounts receivable and fleet functions. including, timely and accurate processing of invoices, resolution of queries and reconciliation of supplier and customer accounts.

The Role…

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will support the Finance Manager, Chief Financial Officer and provide adhoc support to the wider Finance Team, including but not limited to:

  • Manage Accounts Payable, Procurement, Fleet and Accounts Receivable daily tasks, including support of the Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Fleet Finance Officers;
  • Review and assist with invoice processing, including petty cash and employee reimbursements;
  • Lead End-Of Month close procedures including monthly reconciliations and accrual journals;
  • Manage the processing of new supplier requests;
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholder to resolve issues;
  • Initiation and implementation of process improvements; and
  • General finance administration support.

About You…

  • A minimum of 3 years demonstrated Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable team leadership experience in a medium to large (high volume) entity.
  • Experience administering owned and leased fleet of motor vehicles.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Advanced/expert level in MS Word and Excel.
  • Strong background using computer IT systems, applications, data base management and ERP systems
  • Demonstration of excellent customer service skills to support both internal and external clients.
  • Ability to obtain positive notice in the legislatively required personal history check in line with service stream compliance requirements.
  • Previous experience with a mid-tier ERP (experience using TechnologyOne is advantageous).
