Mercy Community have an exceptional opportunity for an experienced leader with demonstrated aged care experience to join our Residential Aged Care Services team in Nudgee. In this full-time permanent position reporting to the Executive Director - Aged Care Services, you will lead the team to build and deliver a high-quality service.

As the Facility Manager you will be responsible for ensuring financial sustainability and the effective and efficient operation of the Residential Aged Care Service, ensuring Mercy Community residents and their families experience a seamless high-quality customer journey.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the successful delivery of the Residential Aged Care Service ensuring targets are met and emergent risks identified and reported to the Executive Director
  • Implement person centered care, ensuring all services meet clinical standards and comply with Quality and Safety accreditation requirements
  • Review staffing levels, scope of practice and rosters maintaining agreed budget parameters and appropriate benchmarks
  • Lead transformation projects to address identified areas for improvement in financial performance
  • Respond to and effectively resolve complaints and incidents in line with organisational and statutory requirements
  • Maintain current knowledge of pending changes, trends, government policy and best practice improvements across the community services sector

Skills & Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in Nursing and/or Health Management
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in leadership/management in aged care, preferably in both Home Care and Residential Care
  • Demonstrated experience leading a high-quality aged care service with a working knowledge and understanding of Dementia Care & Palliative Care specialist services
  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Excellent relationship development, negotiation, communication and presentation skills
  • High level management skills including financial, human resource, risk, compliance and quality
  • Strong financial acumen
  • Have and maintain a Queensland Driver License
  • Ability to gain and maintain positive notice in the legislatively required personal history probity checks
