We currently have multiple Casual and Permanent Part-time positions available for Assistants in Nursing to join our Aged Care facility at Nudgee.

The Role

Working under the direction of Care Service Managers and Registered Nurses, you will be responsible for delivering person-centred care to residents at our aged care facility. In this role your day will involve:

Responsibilities

  • Work with other professionals to provide high quality, safe and effective personal care that aligns with individual resident choices and best practice.
  • Assist residents to enjoy a quality lifestyle that includes assistance with Activities of Daily Living and meaningful activities.
  • Provide assistance during meal time
  • Complete documentation based on Mercy requirements.
  • Deliver excellent customer service to residents, their families and any other external parties
  • Observing and reporting all changes in residents' conditions to the appropriate health professional
  • Reporting in a timely manner on all complaints and incidents

About You

  • Certificate III in Aged Care or other relevant qualification to this role - Individual Support, Home and Community Care or Disabilities
  • Previous experience in a similar position
  • Availability for morning, afternoon and night shifts
  • Full Australian work rights and ability to obtain positive notice in a national police history check
  • Evidence of an up-to-date influenza vaccination in accordance with the current Public Health Directive for Aged Care Facilities
  • You are kind, gentle, respectful and have a caring nature
  • Able to interpret schedules and written instructions, and/or know how to find the information required
  • Demonstrated basic to intermediate ability to use computer IT systems including MS Word
