About the role

MercyCare is seeking a qualified Room Leader at our Bassendean Early Learning Centre on a 12-month fixed-term, full-time basis. The role requires the successful candidate to be available to be rostered between the hours of 6:30am – 6:00pm. Reporting to the Centre Manager, you will be required to assist in the planning and implementation of suitable programs for children attending the Centre, supporting their general development in conjunction with creating a friendly, secure and stimulating interactive learning environment.

To be considered for this role, you will also require:

  • AQF Diploma in Children’s Services or equivalent as recognised by Regulatory Authorities
  • Experience working as a Room Leader
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing programs within an Education and Care Setting
  • The ability to work in a team environment
  • An understanding of the NQS and EYLF
  • A valid Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • Current First Aid qualifications
