About the role

MercyCare is seeking a Domestic Assistant to join the team at our Residential Aged Care facility in Joondalup on a casual basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring high standards of tidiness and cleanliness of the facility whilst considering person centred principles for residents.

To join our friendly and passionate team, you will need to be compassionate, have the ability to build rapport with both residents and families, be hygiene and safety focused, and a positive team player.

To be considered for this role, you will also require:

• Demonstrated experience in a similar role
• Sound understanding of OHS regulations and Health and Hygiene principles
• Ability to work independently and actively participate as a team member
• Good standard of written and spoken English
• National Police Clearance (obtained within the last 6 months)
• Evidence of 2020 Influenza vaccination
