The Opportunity

This is a full time position but we are open to negotiating part time role for the right applicant. The role is Community Mental Health Practitioner in the Early Intervention Psychosocial Support Response (EIPSR) program. The EIPSR program supports people to achieve their optimal level of wellbeing and independence in the community. The position is based in Frankston and supports clients living in the Mornington Peninsula, Bayside and Frankston areas.

About You

  • We are looking for enthusiastic and passionate people to join our dedicated team. Applicants must be able to demonstrate an ability to work with in a trauma informed and person centred framework and complete assessment and service provision planning.
  • Above all, you must be motivated by supporting people to identify and achieve meaningful goals and aspirations.

Required

  • Tertiary qualifications in Mental Health (Cert IV minimum), Social Work, Alcohol and Other Drug, Peer Work, Community Services, Psychology or Occupational Therapy. Minimum qualifications will be Cert IV - Mental Health/AOD.
  • Previous experience working in mental health or equivalent community services with focus on individual support work and helping people identify and achieve personal goals.
  • We will consider recent graduates if you are able to fulfil all aspects of the role and are able to clearly demonstrate this in your response to key selection criteria. Please contact us if you would like to discuss this prior to submitting an application.
  • Valid Driver's Licence.
  • Prior to commencing, you will need to have a current First Aid and CPR certificate. We are able to assist with this if needed.
  • As per the government Health Directions regarding mandatory vaccination for health care workers including those in allied health, evidence of full vaccination for COVID -19 is necessary.
