Play a key role in major mental health reform in Victoria to ensure everyone is supported to access the services they need, close to their home.
You will be part of the launch of one of the first of 60 Mental Health Locals in Victoria.
This is an amazing opportunity to shape the future of peer and community led mental health services for adults and older adults.
This local support is a key recommendation of the recent Royal Commission into Victoria’s mental health system and promises to make our community a better place to be.
The Frankston Adult and older Adult Local Mental Health and Wellbeing Service: Wellways, Mentis Assist, and Peninsula Health are working together to provide mental health and wellbeing supports in Frankston to ensure that everyone can access treatment and care close to home.
We are working with the local community and people who have personal experience of mental health issues and recovery to build these services so that they are the best they can be. Our service delivery will be informed by lived experience and co-produced by the local community.
Reporting to the Frankston Local Operations Manager and the Clinical Director, the Clinical Lead – Towards Change will develop, coach, supervise and lead a team of specialist clinical mental health practitioner in the delivery of holistic mental health care. The team will include a Creative Arts Therapist, AOD Clinician, Addiction Specialist, Dietitian, Nurse Practitioner, Mental Health Nurses, and Occupational Therapists (EFT approximately 8) . The Clinical Lead- Towards Change will be employed by Mentis Assist and will play an integral role in changing and shaping the way mental health and wellbeing services and supports are delivered the Frankston area.
As this is a newly created service, your ability to work flexibly and agilely within an evolving service delivery partnership is essential. Your ability to motivate, support, guide and direct a team will also be important.
