The Opportunity

Implement the Best Start program through engaging and supporting local Aboriginal and mainstream stakeholders to identify learnings and opportunities for improvement and to support the implementation of improvement ideas with stakeholders. Review data, evidence and local knowledge to identify community needs and provide continuous improvement supports to local stakeholders working in partnership with the Council’s Best Start program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement the Melton Best Start Program in conjunction with the Coordinator Early Years Partnerships.
  • Lead the implementation of local data collection plans in line with the Best Start Program guidelines.
  • Engage and build partnerships with local key stakeholders and facilitate continuous improvement within the local key stakeholders to deliver action research trials through the execution of Plan Do Study Act cycles.
  • Communicate continuous improvement idea outcomes, supporting the scale up and replication of ideas within and between Best Start sites.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have the following:

  • Tertiary qualification with relevant experience in early childhood, education, community development, social work or health.
  • Experience in delivering continuous improvement initiatives, and understanding of improvement science methodology is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders to gain support and cooperation.
