The Royal Melbourne is one of Victoria’s largest hospitals providing a comprehensive range of health services including acute, sub-acute, general, and specialist medical services throughout inpatient and community based facilities. We are also a proud part of the world renowned Melbourne Biomedical Precinct, working in collaboration to advance research for continuous improvement of clinical care.

We are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to join our Social Work team. This is a Full Time position, working 80 hours per fortnight (including ADO), based at The Royal Melbourne Hospital, City and Royal Park Campuses.

Your Opportunity:

  • Provide high quality culturally specific care to Aboriginal and/ or Torres Strait Islander inpatients
  • Provide clinical excellence and social work service to inpatients of the Royal Melbourne Hospital
  • Foster positive team and workplace culture
  • Be part of and contribute to a dynamic and progressive Social Work team

About You:

  • You are able to deliver excellent social work patient focused clinical care to patients and their carers
  • You demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • You have the experience and skills to mentor and supervise junior staff

This position is open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants only, as being Aboriginal or a Torres Strait Islander is a genuine occupational requirement for the position under the 'special measures' of section 12 of the Equal Opportunity Act 2010 (Vic)
