An exciting opportunity exists to join the Occupational Therapy team at Royal Melbourne Hospital across the acute and / or subacute services on a casual basis. These roles provide clinical care during planned periods of leave and are supported by clinical staff and stream leaders.

Your new team

The Occupational Therapy department consists of approximately 57 EFT across RMH sites. We provide care to our patients within the acute, sub-acute and community therapy services. The department is supported by the OT manager, OT workforce development manager and OT research leader.

An opportunity exists to join our casual bank of Occupational Therapists. A casual role will provide clinical assessment, therapy and discharge planning for patients on an as needed basis. The Occupational Therapy department has a strong supervision and professional development framework which oversees all roles within the department. The department has casual needs across the department, please indicate in your application if you have a preference for acute, sub-acute or community based services.

Your Contribution

  • Recognised degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy
  • Professional registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia (AHPRA)
  • Excellent verbal, non-verbal and written communication
  • Emergency and safe working practices in the hospital
  • Time management and prioritisation skills
  • Commitment to providing a high level of care
  • Proactive approach to knowledge development.
