MPA is also one of the largest melanoma patient advocacy groups in Australia. Our vision is that no-one with melanoma walks alone.
The MPA Telehealth Nurse position is a new role, which will develop the new telehealth service and take primary responsibility for the operational delivery of the MPA national telehealth nurse case management service for people affected by melanoma.
Many patients when they are first diagnosed with melanoma contact Melanoma Patients Australia for information and support. The national telehealth nurse case management service will provide a new and higher-level support service for patients and their families. The role may include some regional and interstate travel.
Major responsibilities include:
Please note: the primary role is to support patients, provide education and referrals with existing medical and psychosocial services. Where there are questions about treatment, the nurse can support the patient by developing a prompt list of questions to take back to their treating clinician.
