Social Work at The Women’s aims to improve the psychosocial health and well-being of women and babies attending The Women’s. Social Work embraces a view of women’s health that is holistic and considers women’s social, physical, emotional and cultural wellbeing.
Our Social Workers offer support to women through their maternity, neonatal, gynaecological and oncology experiences and provide information, counselling, support and advocacy for women in response to health and social needs.
The Team Leader has a clinical leadership role in ensuring excellence in patient care, education and support of staff and students, and fostering staff development through the provision of supervision and other professional development opportunities. The Team Leader will also be responsible for leading and coordinating a Social Work team/s and for providing Social Work services to a Clinic.

Are you a qualified social worker and are you eligible for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers?
Do you have excellent knowledge of health and psychosocial issues for women and the impacts of violence on a women’s physical, social and emotional health?
Do you have demonstrated leadership skills?
