ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Chief Executive Officer and Company Secretary you will ensure the success of all aspects of the organisation.

As a membership-based organisation, you will personally lead the attraction and retention of members. You will serve the existing members and design and implement membership growth strategies. Innovative fundraising strategies and diversification of funding streams will also be a focus area to ensure sustainability.

You provide thought leadership to Meaningful Ageing’s growing community while ensuring effective operations of the support office.

As CEO you will lead our small, dynamic team to achieve the strategic plan and role models Meaningful Ageing’s values of Wisdom, Collaboration, Engagement and Influence.

The CEO leads person-centred and evidence-based practice in the provision of spiritual care for Australians as they age.

You will work closely with a highly engaged, effective and supportive Board who between them have many decades of leadership in the aged care sector and a specific commitment to ensuring meaning, purpose and connectedness is integral to all aged care.

ABOUT YOU

We are seeking an energetic CEO who is dedicated and passionate about making a difference in the lives of older Australians.

You will be comfortable straddling strategy as well as operations as you lead a largely part-time and dispersed team to achieve results.

Your collaborative approach and outstanding communication skills will enable you to effectively engage a diverse range of stakeholders.

With tertiary level qualifications in Humanities or a similar discipline, you will also hold demonstrated knowledge of the aged care industry and experience in a senior leadership role.

Contemporary knowledge of spiritual care for the ageing will be important as well as a commitment to person-centred and evidence-based practice.

Whilst there is a preference for a Melbourne based CEO, the ability to work effectively through a mixture of online and in person leadership can be supported.
